Christian Moore
C.E.O, The WhyTry Organisation

Christian Moore is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and has a Master of Social Work degree from Brigham Young University.

He has worked with at risk youth, including work as a school counselor at an alternative high school, as a counselor with the Utah State Department of Youth Corrections, and as a youth outpatient therapist at a community mental health agency specializing in adolescents with conduct disorder and learning disabilities.

Christian discovered that a Masters in Social Work did not help him to engage with young people with learning differences and conduct disorders. He soon discovered most of the youth were visual learners.

Christian was motivated to develop "The WhyTry Program" which led to founding the WhyTry Organization, of which he is the Chairperson. The WhyTry Program, is used by every school district in the State of Utah, and increasingly adopted by more schools across 36 states in the USA and Canada. Over 325 school districts now use the WhyTry Program. More school districts are adopting the program each month. The program is also used by several private and public mental health agencies, group homes, and youth detention centers.

Over the last few years Christian has been a sought after speaker and presenter at annual conferences of education and mental health-related professional Associations and Councils throughout the USA.

Christian uses the WhyTry Program combined with stories from his own life to help youth with conduct disorder and learning differences see how they can function in society and be successful in life. He shares his experiences in overcoming many of life's obstacles, including the challenge of being an individual with severe learning disabilities and who was able to earn a Masters degree from a major university.

He shares with youth his message of hope combined with a formula for achieving opportunity in life, greater freedom, and the self-respect that comes with lasting change. Christian enjoyed his July 2003 visit to Wagga Wagga and Sydney.
